Introduction

Welcome to our Trauma-Informed Care webpage, where we prioritize healing and empowerment for anyone who has experienced trauma. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment that honors your unique journey. Trauma-informed care is the framework guiding our approach—every aspect of your treatment is informed by compassion, respect, and understanding.

Principles of Trauma-Informed Care

Realizing the Widespread Impact of Trauma
We recognize that trauma can affect individuals, families, and communities in profound ways. Healing is possible, and each person’s path to recovery is unique.

Recognizing Signs and Symptoms of Trauma
We are trained to identify the signs and symptoms of trauma in our patients, their families, and our staff. By understanding how trauma manifests, we can provide compassionate and effective support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Integrating Knowledge About Trauma
From our policies to everyday interactions, we weave trauma-informed principles into everything we do, creating a safe space that fosters resilience and growth.

Avoiding Re-traumatization
We prioritize informed consent, honor personal boundaries, and ensure that every step of your treatment is empowering, not re-traumatizing.

Our Comprehensive Healing Approach

At Bedrock Therapies, we create a 360° healing plan that considers every aspect of your identity and experience, including race, gender, and sexual orientation. We specialize in:

EMDR/Flash
Helps reprocess traumatic memories more gently and efficiently.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Encourages understanding and healing your “parts,” promoting internal harmony.

TEAM CBT with Mindfulness
Addresses negative thought patterns, nurtures self-compassion, and strengthens emotional regulation.

Working with First Responders

We have extensive experience helping first responders, who often struggle with being vulnerable or relying on others. This process can feel uncomfortable at times, but stepping outside your comfort zone is where true change happens. If it’s not at least a bit uncomfortable, you may be falling back on familiar numbing or distracting behaviors.

We also recognize the healing power of nature by integrating outdoor sessions or nature-based activities, using nature as a co-therapist to restore calm and resilience. Additionally, we have extensive experience with online therapy, ensuring access to high-quality care from the comfort of your home.

Getting Started

You don’t have to face trauma alone. Whether you’re seeking help for yourself or a loved one, we’re here to guide you with compassion and expertise.
