Empathy, Expertise, and Compassionate Care for Your Journey to Wellness
I am certified in evidence-based therapies, including Level 4 TEAM-CBT, EMDR, and trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am also certified in Mindfulness practices, integrating these models to address human suffering. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can experience real transformation.
Alongside these certifications, I have been practicing Buddhist psychology for over 25 years, regularly attending silent retreats to deepen my understanding of the mind and healing. As a yogi for over 25 years, I bring the wisdom of yoga into my therapy practice, grounded in my 200-hour certification with Yogaworks. This unique blend of mindfulness, yoga, and therapeutic modalities allows me to offer a 360-degree healing of an entire human being, couple, or family.
Tailored Treatment, Real Results
In our work together, I take into account all aspects of who you are—your upbringing, experiences with trauma, and your personal identity, including gender, culture, and sexual orientation. I also consider your financial situation to ensure therapy is accessible and sustainable. By integrating these factors, I will craft a treatment plan that is unique to you.
Proven Success in Supporting Diverse Clients
With a diverse background in sports, entrepreneurship, and mindfulness, I bring a well-rounded perspective to my practice—because let’s face it, life’s a bit more fun when you can bring all your experiences to the table. I also made it a personal challenge to understand all facets of the mental health system, learning how to navigate the disjointed system in a way that helps clients and their families. This comes from my own experience of navigating the mental health system and well-meaning, but often unprepared, therapists who tried to help my brother, who has schizophrenia, for the past 20 years.
I grew up in a family business that had to integrate farming with marketing and navigating laws—quite sophisticated. I built a brand that went nationwide, learning firsthand what it’s like to achieve, be family-oriented, and balance it all while maintaining equanimity.
I know how to guide individuals and families through the most difficult and horrendous circumstances. I understand what it’s like to stay present and navigate “hell realms” with equanimity, supporting you through the toughest challenges. Whether we’re working in-person in Walnut Creek’s peaceful parks, virtually over Zoom, or with my therapy dog Artemis by your side, I’m here to support you through every step of your healing journey—with a little humor along the way.
At the core of my practice is a dedication to professional excellence, reflected in my ongoing commitment to learning and certification.
